Mission Statement
The mission of Graduate Medical Education at Marshall University School of Medicine is to oversee high quality accredited training programs that produce professional and competent physicians to engage in autonomous practice, communicate effectively and are prepared to adapt to the future evolution in healthcare upon completion of the program. We encourage graduate retention with the educational focus on the unique patient population in the Appalachian region. The Sponsoring Institution promotes professional development in teaching, life-long learning, and well-being throughout the entire graduate medical education community.
